Youth Parliament

Youth Parliament is to strengthen the roots of democracy, inculcate healthy habits of discipline, and tolerance of the views of others and to enable the student community to know about practices and procedures of the Parliament and to enhance their knowledge of the functioning of the Government, Constitutional values and for living their life in a democratic way.

Apart from this, the scheme also acquaints the students with the processes and procedures of Parliament and techniques of discussion and debate and develops in them self-confidence, leadership qualities and the art and skills of effective oratory. This prestigious program will encourage some of the brightest and most vocal students from Kendriya Vidyalayas to engage in spirited debate on matters of national and global importance.
